Important notice about the false report of AVG
Recently we received reports from
many of our customers about the false alarm by AVG, an anti-virus program,
this program reports all files in Adware Away as "Potential Unwanted
Programs".
We claim this is a serious mistake made by AVG again. Last time AVG reported
a dll "sporder.dll" in Adware Away folder as a trojan dll, but
actually the "sporder.dll" is a Windows system dll, it is from
Microsoft Windows. This time AVG reported all files in Adware Away folder as
suspicious.
If you are an AVG user, you can do this
experiment to know how rediculous AVG's scan policy is :
1. Create a new folder in
"C:\Program Files"
2. Rename the new folder as "Adware Away"
3. Copy some of your normal files to Adware Away folder, you can copy any
files you think they are virus free, and you also can copy some AVG files to
Adware Away folder
4. Then use AVG to scan your system
5. According to its scan policy, it will report all files in Adware Away
folder as "Potential Unwanted Programs", including the AVG files
you copied!
